About

Leah has extensive experience supporting women through their fertility journey in to pregnancy, birth and beyond as an NHS doctor in obstetrics & gynaecology. She is on the GMC Specialist Register and is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists.

After discovering the hugely therapeutic practice of yoga for herself in 2001 and having trained internationally with a number of highly regarded teachers, she sees herself as a lifelong student. She is a Yoga Alliance registered teacher, holding advanced Advanced 500+ hour trainings in Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin and pregnancy yoga, influencing her teaching style and helping facilitate balanced and intelligently sequenced classes. Using this broad knowledge base and experience in teaching yoga to thousands of women, she takes an integrative approach to create fluid, strong, feminine classes, focussing on breath and alignment.

Leah is currently pregnant with her first child, which has added a whole new perspective to her understanding and appreciation for the deep benefits that yoga can bring in pregnancy.

She has trained extensively in pranayama techniques and is an advocate of the power of breathing and meditation. Having adopted techniques within her own life to combat burnout in her medical career and support her through her own pregnancy. She understands first hand this is a tool that cannot be underestimated in managing stress and anxiety.

Leah is passionate about the promotion of women’s health, which helps shape her holistic approach to patient care.

In addition to her pregnancy and postnatal yoga teacher trainings, She has completed The Yoga Medicine™, Yoga for Women’s Health Training, which integrates Traditional Chinese medicine concepts, something she has subsequently incorporated in to her approach to fertility, pregnancy and postnatal yoga  and yoga for menopause.

She is an advocate for the power of education, focused breathing and movement in helping to prepare and empower women for the life-changing shift becoming a mother involves and no more so than in her own pregnancy, where she discovered a whole new aspect of connection that yoga was able to provide that she hopes to share with you too.
