The Yoga Doc

Holistic, trusted, evidence based yoga for fertility, pregnancy and beyond

Obstetric Doctor and experienced Women’s Health Yoga Teacher

Welcome!

Welcome! I’m Dr Leah, Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, Women’s Health Yoga Teacher and founder of The Yoga Doc.

I qualified as a doctor in 2008 and currently work in the NHS.After practicing yoga for over two decades and supporting countless women through pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, I came to the realisation that I could offer a unique skillset by integrating my experience in and commitment to women’s health with my passion for yoga.

Creating The Yoga Doc has been a work of love many years in the creation, combining a mission to deliver evidence based information to women throughout their reproductive journey and beyond with over 20 years of witnessing the benefits yoga brings, in both myself and others.

With the purpose of sharing this longstanding experience, I have created my 4-pillar plan – a pregnancy yoga course which goes above and beyond just yoga in pregnancy, to provide you with the essential tools to have your most empowered birth experience.

Leah

Including 7 hours of expert designed content from an Obstetrician and advanced pregnancy yoga teacher filmed in her own pregnancy and with subscriptions starting from as little as £6.55 a month, this is so much more than just a prenatal yoga course.

This online pregnancy yoga plan provides you with all the tools you need to have an informed and active pregnancy, whilst benefiting from the convenience of practising from the comfort of your own home.

Leah

My drive to educate women and their partners, so that they feel informed and empowered when heading in to pregnancy, was born from frustrations working within a system where limited time and resources means this often doesn’t happen and women’s experiences are often left the poorer.

I strongly believe that information should be widely accessible and have aimed to remedy this gap through the provision of a range of FREE online resources. There’s such a wealth of information out there, but so much is just not evidence based or reliable. I offer digestible instagram posts, in depth blogs and my Youtube channel, where you can find access to free yoga classes. You can rest assured that you’re in safe and knowledgeable hands with my wealth of professional experience driving everything I create.

The outdated notion that you can’t move and be active in your pregnancy, has thankfully been replaced by evidence supporting the significant benefit it can bring to you and your baby’s health and I can certainly testify to this having practiced through my own pregnancy.

If you’re ready to dive a bit deeper and want to know how you can benefit from what I’ve learnt over my past 2 decades of extensive academic study and experiential learning in both healthcare and yoga, then my Prenatal Yoga Plan is for you.

This is a 4-pillar approach, which has been designed to provide you with so much more than just yoga. The goal is to give you the essential components I believe will lead you to a positive and empowered pregnancy and birth. Click here to access your 7-day free trial and to find out more.

I invite you to explore the free resources on offer, read more about how yoga can benefit you throughout your pregnancy and beyond and I hope, come and practice with me soon.

I really enjoyed your classes and I know that they helped me stay as fit as I could. If anything I wish I had started sooner! I also just really enjoyed going to your classes and it was something I looked forward to all week. Even if I was knackered I was always glad I made the effort.
[My baby] arrived last night! Quick and natural delivery. Thank you so so so much for all your videos. I’ve been doing them regularly and I’ve learned so much. My body was definitely prepared to birth. I had dreamed of a water birth and managed to stay at home until I was 7cm!
I just wanted to say thank you very much for your YouTube channel. I’m 25 weeks pregnant and finding it to be an absolute savior both physically and mentally…I always feels so much better after one or two of your videos in the morning. I feel very privileged and grateful for your content, thank you so much for sharing it.
I just did a lovely EASE class, followed by a short 10 minute leg strengthening. 31 weeks pregnant and woke up at 5.30 am and it just sorted me out and started my morning strengthened and relaxed. Thank you.
Highly recommend - The Yoga Doc pregnancy yoga for pelvic girdle pain – that was fantabuloso!!!
Your preggy yoga classes are heaven! Exactly what I need. I wish I knew about them from the start of pregnancy and not at 36 weeks. Just did your one from this morning. I had such terrible sciatica pain and it worked wonders.
I just wanted to thank you for your awesome channel and the great videos on YouTube! I’m 33 weeks now and still feel great and flexible. I was frustrated when I realised that my non-preggo Yoga routines didn’t work and feel very good any more, but your sequences are just perfect. I really appreciate the detailed instructions and the balance of ease and flow units. So thanks a lot for your great work.
Just wanted to say I love your page and yoga videos. Used them for my last pregnancy. It was a VBAC after my oldest son was back to back and ended in an emergency c-section after failing to progress. Your videos and page helped me prepare for a great birth without any tearing.
